| Description: | The oldest county museum in the state, located 15 minutes north of Omaha on Hwy 75. On the Lewis & Clark Trail, and located 3 blocks from Fort Atkinson State Historical Park, a recreated 1820 military outpost. Exhibits featuring the “first council” between Lewis & Clark and the Otoe/Missouria people, Firearms exhibit, history of Washington County, relics from the excavation of Fort Atkinson. |
