Special events or exhibits relating to Nebraska’s 150: General Crook House Museum Exhibit entitled Omaha City: Gateway to the West. The exhibit will focus on the experience of living in early Omaha from pre-statehood days to become a gateway to the West.
Tell us about your organization (400 words or less): Douglas County Historical Society’s (DCHS) mission is to preserve and enliven historical insight in Douglas County, Nebraska. Through educational programming, community/special events, history related classes, the archive collections, and research services, DCHS strives to connect the Douglas County community with history. We are dedicated to helping our county engage with the past in order to enrich the future.
